After my NYSC program, i came back to Benin city where i was born and breed, not to stay but to restock and relocate to a state of greener technological pasture, Lagos or Abuja were on top of my list because my thirst and passion for tech would only be satisfied in this state. Few days after i arrived in Benin, a friend of mine told me that while i was away for NYSC, Edo state Government built a tech/business hub. I could not believe it, the next day i drove down and i saw a massive state of the art building, as if that was not enough, i saw an online flyer about a free Data Science Course for free!!!. I know how expensive it is to take a data science course, so i applied. Fast forward to the day of screening, i expected that the normal “i know person when know person” system would be used, so i was just praying that i meet someone i knew🤣,we were all shocked because the screening was done free and fair, at that point i knew that something was different. could it be that the governor has not only succeeded in being credible, he somehow has passed the culture to his workers (EDOJOBS).

The bootcamp was nothing short of amazing, we were even given good refreshments during the course of the training, i don’t think i have seen anything like this before in Edo state. Who would have thought that i,Teddy could learn data science and to think that i learnt it for free is just amazing and all this could not have been possible without the Governor of Edo state Governor Godwin Obaseki and his amazing initiative the EdoJobs. Now i can say the state is moving, technology that seems to be the route of the future has settled in Edo state.
